Mark Gruner

Financial Leader and Author

Mark Gruner comes from Montreal, Canada. He studied at McGill University. He did his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry, then moved on to do post-graduate studies in Public Accounting. After completing attaining his CPA degree, he went on to work for a small CA firm and then worked at Coopers & Lybrand. 

He then went on to work internationally in Europe. He worked as the CFO for Commission for Real Property Claims for Displaced Persons (CRPC). Then went on to work for International Finance Corporation (IFC)  part of the World Bank Group.

With IFC he moved to Istanbul, Turkey and then to Johannesburg, South Africa. He was responsible for many financial improvements in the region at IFC and made some changes to the way the budget process works across all of IFC.

He then later moved to Manila, Philippines to become the Director of Finance for International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). 

Most recently, Mark published his first book on Personal Finances, which can be purchased on Amazon.
